North Carolina

Relaxed napper

Can you read the sign?  "Try an strawberry biscuit."  If you don't understand the subject of my ridicule, begone from my blog!

I want this please.

Granma Clara has turned on the water for J, he just doesn't know it yet.

He does now!

He would have played all day if he'd been able.

Eeeeee!

Sorry for the picture quality, my camera is acting wonky.

Again, I apologize for the quality, you get the idea though.
Tee-hee...  :-)

Little drummer boys

J was happy just watching his cousins

So much fun!

They were kicking and throwing the balls down the hill to Paw-Paw and Josh and then they would throw them back up.  Over and over and over.  Very entertaining.

Do you want to play J?

I just like this one.

J met Mackenzie for the first time.  Her momma and I had been trying to get together ever since Mac was born and we finally got it together over a year later.  J was loving her toys!  I was too...

Grammy with baby C and Natalie.  We spent the night at Grammy & Grandads before heading down to North Carolina.

Second Leg and Virginia!

Tornado damage in Smythe County Virginia.  It was rainy & I didn't get good pictures on the way up.  I have some from the trip back though.

J was having fun feeding C.  He's always been so helpful.

J and his cousin Ben entranced by Paw-Paw's tv.

J & his cousin Sam playing trains.  It took them a bit to warm up to each other but they were fast friends by the time we left.
Isn't that just beautiful?  Roses at Granma Ledden's house.
Paw-Paw showing J his "man land"
C meeting BethAnne.

She's got a way with baby C!

Paw-Paw and J exploring the yard.

I'll get some more cousin pictures together tomorrow.  Got a lot to go through!

First Leg of the Trip to VA

Here are a few pictures from our trip to Knoxville with Da.  We met up with Paw-Paw & Granma Monica there for the rest of the trip to Virginia.
J settled in for a long haul.
This isn't a swamp, at least not usually.
More flooding.
So, I figure this guy thinks he's got a pretty sweet ride and that I'm taking a picture of it for that reason.  In fact, I'm taking a picture because I think it's pretty dagburn dorky.
A result of the high winds from the storms.
A blade for a wind turbine.  That is hugemongous!
"I'm so tough and edgy, I have fire coming out of my gas tank!"
Accident outside of Nashville.  Sat for over an hour before we got up to it.
What the heck happened here, did someone fall asleep?
Makes me want to get on past tractor trailers.
Pit stop for food and leg stretching.  Love my mini-van!
We start them young in the Colville family.
The "mountains".  Biggest I've seen since we left Virginia!
Makes me think of the doorways to Moria.
World's Fair Sunsphere in Knoxville.

Tomorrow I will post pictures from the second leg of our trip.  Knoxville to Amherst, Virginia.

Big Boy Bed!

J came home Saturday to his crib gone and a blue toddler bed in its place.  Da & I were both surprised to find that he stayed in the bed all night until we got him up the next morning.  No toys had even been played with.  So far he doesn't seem to realize that he can get up without us in the room, let's hope it stays that way.  Naps & bedtime have been no problemo.  Woo-hoo!

I'm still working to get back into the rhythm of home and sort through all the pictures from my 3 weeks in Virginia.  I'm going to post some mostly photo posts over the next few days.  I plan to keep them somewhat organized.  I'll give it a shot starting tomorrow.  Good night!
